Struck by Lightning

So, my Boss is designing the costumes for Woman in Black, our last show of the season. and yesterday she asked me to fix the weird alteration in this suit that she had pulled for her show, and take it back to how it was originally. so i got to un-picking... then i came across this:

And i had a panic attack. This poor suit not only had some of the saddest, most terrible alterations of all time in it, but it also has PAINTED pin-stripes on it. PAINTED. Someone painted a VINTAGE DIOR suit. and then i died a little inside, and i thought "how was the person who did these abominations not struck down by lightning??"

I'm sure it makes the label sad that it has to live in such a suit now.

So i fixed all of the alterations to give him a little dignity back.
(if anyone reading this was involved in the things i described... i don't mean anyone offense... but i kind of do. Although, whoever took the time and precision to paint those stripes did a great job, and probably just was doing as they were told. It wasn't you was it Lindsay?? ha.)

  1. Thankfully I only ever colored in squares on a sweater vest. I would have refused if I knew it was a DIOR. I don't want Christian Dior haunting me for the rest of my life.

I want to see the rest of the jacket!
